Its almost Christmas now and the season this time is evenly poised which it need not have been had the last 2 results for Chelsea been the brighter side. Though Chelsea have been enjoying the lead right from day one of the season, men(?) from Old Trafford haven't lost a single game yet. Also the last 2 games have been terribly disastrous for Chelsea with El-NinO back to his best at the Reds' home and then they getting mauled by Sunderland at their own place.
Well if this is the rate of fall, Chelsea can't surely pick this year's cup. Gunners, Man-U,Man-C all are in close contention. One other team which really needed a mention this season is NewCastle Utd. Their play, specially Nolan ,Collocini and Carrol have been terrific. Lets see where they are headed to.
The last games showed just how important Lampard and JT are important for Chelsea. The legendary old man, Sir AF's strategy is also at question. Is he taking a risk by playing all the new comers at once. Too many of them on the field together aren't able to live up to the fans expectations supposedly which probably is the reason why they have been suffering too many draws this season. Yes it will take a while to actually come to the MAN - U level , the fans expectation levels, The Beckham, Scholes, Giggs, Ronaldo - level, but assuming that they really are quick learners it might at the very least take a season. One thing which I keep wondering about Man- U is why is that the best player in the team or rather the most popular (means of becoming popular is not in the context) often leaves the club or plans to leave the club irrespective of how big\small the other club is ?
The reds had a disastrous start till recently when they were close to the relegation zone. Quoting them " Its good to get off from the bottom". Really? Is that what Liverpool is made of? Gerrard, Torres, Raul Meirles, Carragher to name a few starters are world class and it's just that they have not been getting their act together. Some color of it was shown to Chelsea when they visited Anfield. The Gunners ( Nasri _/\_ ) have been the silent killers this season and can never be ruled out of contention of the trophy. We have a triad of weekend action left from the Island before the Christmas break. Lets hope every fan will be happy by the end of it ( Utterly impossible right?)
This blog will not hurt the feelings of any fan coz i tried to be my neutral best. If in case it still does.. GTH!..
Well to conclude this if we are to believe a few rumors "Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has rubber-stamped a deal to take Wayne Rooney to Stamford Bridge, making him one of the world's richest players. Abramovich could compete with Manchester City's £250,000-a-week package for the Manchester United striker but might offer only £20m for him"
Chelsea captain John Terry has invited Rooney to join him at the south-west London outfit after calling him "the best player in the world..Rooney himself is open to the idea of joining Chelsea but the Blues will not go beyond £160,000 a week for the England international. Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich says he would only sign Rooney if the price is right, while Real Madrid will not make a move for the player until next summer. hopefully him moving to real madrid will not happen. He s always welcome at Sf.B London.
Let's see if atleast a millionth-percentage of this is true. Muahahah.
The part II will be up after march probably.
